On Friday, July 12th at 8pm and 10:30pm, the Inter-Media Art Center in Huntington, Long Island will host an all-star concert highlighting the music of the Beatles, BEATLEJAM.

The Beatles’ music has been covered by artists, both legendary and unknown ad infinitum. Despite an abundance of cover bands, tribute shows and tribute recordings that go back 20 years; despite their continuation of a sort through solo recordings, posthumous compilations, outtakes and the like (an
amazing musical legacy left to us to treasure for eternity) they also left us with a hole in our musical
souls.

BeatleJam showcases the music of the Beatles in the format of the genre that best represents their sense of fun, virtuosity, and improvisation; what has come to be called ‘the jam band’ scene. BeatleJam is about the love of their music performed by outstanding musicians. BeatleJam features performances by Blue Floyd (AUDLEY FREED of the Black Crowes, MATT ABTS of Gov’t Mule, JOHNNY NEEL of the Allman Brothers, and BARRY OAKLEY of Bloodline), Grateful Dead Keyboardist VINCE
WELNICK, and Jazz is Dead featuring JEFF PEVAR (guitarist for David Crosby), T LAVITZ
(Keyboardist for Dixie Dregs) and JERRY GOODMAN (violinist of the Mahavishnu Orchestra).
