NEWLY ADDED:
Friday July 30th at 9pm
SATURDAY, July 31st, 2004 at 9pm
On Saturday, July
31st, 2004 at 9PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (also know
as “IMAC”) in Huntington, Long Island will present
a concert with The David Bromberg Quartet.
After several years of inactivity on the touring front,
DAVID BROMBERG is beginning to reappear on the live concert
scene. Bromberg’s live show remains as unique as ever.
Concerts by David and his band are extraordinary events,
and performances follow no set pattern of selection. Give
and take between performers is complete, spontaneous, and
totally sincere. The David Bromberg Quartet will feature:
David Bromberg (guitar, mandolin, fiddle & vocals),
Robert “Butch” Amiot (bass & vocals), Jeff
Wisor (guitar, fiddle, mandolin & vocals) and Mitch
Corbin (guitar, mandolin, fiddle & vocals).
David Bromberg’s guitar picking and
exceptional stylistic range brought him to the attention
of many other musicians: Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, John Hurt,
the Reverend Gary Davis, Tom Paxton, and Chubby Checker
are only a few of the notables who sought Bromberg out as
a back-up artist for recording. Bromberg’s remarkable
musical versatility and innovative resourcefulness have
earned vast critical and popular acclaim. He is also impossible
to classify. He is part of everything contemporarily musical.
He is a product of blues, country, jazz, folk and classical
music.
Tickets for this performance are $45.00
($34.00 for IMAC Members). For tickets or further information
on this performance, or on other IMAC programs, call IMAC's
