On Friday, October 31st, 2003 at 9PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (IMAC) in Huntington, Long Island will present a concert with saxophonist CANDY DULFER.

2002 saw the sort of year that most people would treat as a once in a lifetime experience. For the internationally renowned Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer it was just another chapter in what is already an incredible career. After a tour of Japan with her band, Funky Stuff in February, April saw Candy Dulfer return to the USA to join Prince on his critically acclaimed "One Nite Alone" Tour, playing to packed venues across the States next to friend and hero Maceo Parker in the horn section. Prince’s renowned after-shows also meant that Candy jammed with artists like Alicia Keys, Sheila E., George Clinton and Musiq Soulchild. Candy then joined Prince to perform throughout Europe. Candy also played gigs with two other long term collaborators, Dave Stewart and Van Morrison. To top all of this, she also finally achieved a long term goal by recording a duet album with her father Hans. The resulting album, “Dulfer Dulfer”, is an incredible energy packed dance album infused with large measures of funk and bop. To cap this year, Candy started work in London on her new album, “Right In My Soul”.

Tickets for this performance are $37.50 ($28.50 for IMAC Members). For tickets or further information on this performance, or on other IMAC programs, call IMAC's 24-hour Arts-Line at (631) 549-ARTS.
