SATURDAY, December
10th, 2005 at 8PM
On Saturday, December 10th,
2005 at 8PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (also known as “IMAC”)
in Huntington, Long Island will present a concert with contemporary
jazz saxophonist Euge Groove.
Hagerstown, MD native, Euge Groove—a
pseudonym for saxophonist Steven Eugene Grove—is the
hottest act to hit contemporary jazz in a long time. The
session veteran and ex-Tower of Power band mate made a name
for himself in 2000 via the internet, knock-out live shows,
and rockin’ radio singles. The accolades soon followed
and Groove was named R&R’s Breakout Artist of
the Year, JazzTrax Debut Artist and earned a Prism Award
nomination. He has performed with such great artist as Joe
Cocker, Tina Turner, Richard Marx and Huey Lewis and the
News.
With Just Feels Right, his newest Narada
Jazz release, Euge takes his music to a whole new level
and is poised to join the ranks of the most popular artists
in contemporary jazz. “Get Em Goin’,”
the first single to radio, is the #1 most added song in
radio its first two weeks out and holds the record for the
most stations in its debut week.
Tickets for this performance are $37.50
($28.50 for IMAC Members). For tickets or further information
on this performance, or on other IMAC programs, call IMAC's
