On Friday, July 28th, 2006 at 8 & 10:30PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (also known as “IMAC”) in Huntington, Long Island will host an all-star concert - Guitars and Saxes- featuring Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, Jeff Golub and Peter White.

As individual artists Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, Jeff Golub and Peter White have been delighting IMAC audiences for years. It’s no surprise that this powerhouse quartet will thrill IMAC audiences as well. With Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot on saxophones and Jeff Golub and Peter White on guitars, this show is going to sell-out!

Whether he is playing contemporary or straight-ahead jazz, saxophonist Gerald Albright stands in a class by himself. He is known for his swiftness on stage, his unique round sound which is percussive yet soulful. Richard Elliot has been among the top saxophonists in what has come to be called smooth jazz-an accessible, groove-oriented style that combines elements of jazz, pop and, quite often, R&B. Jeff Golub’s unique brand of funky, blues-drenched jazz guitar is a firm mainstay on the contemporary jazz charts today; with the 60’s and 70’s jazz and soul that has shaped his musical vision. Since he burst onto the scene in 1990, guitarist Peter White has made quite a name for himself. His first solo album, “Reveillez-Vous” was ranked the fifth best selling album of 1990, a year in which he was also named Best New Male Artist of the Year. White has performed on recordings by Rick Braun, Richard Elliot, The Crusaders, Craig Chaquico, Greg Vail, Joe McBride, 3rd Force and an upcoming project by Kirk Whalum.
