DATE: SATURDAY, January 22nd, 2005
at 8PM & 10:30PM
On Saturday, January 22nd, 2005 at 8PM & 10:30PM,
the Inter-Media Art Center (IMAC) in Huntington, Long Island
will present a concert of rock and blues with HOT TUNA featuring
Jorma Kaukonen on lead guitar, table steel guitar, dobro
and vocal, Jack Casady on bass and special guests Barry
Mitterhoff on mandolin and Erik Diaz on drums.
By the day after the holidays, aren’t
you tired of cold leftovers? Then come to IMAC to enjoy
an evening of Hot Tuna! Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady have
recorded over two dozen albums together, individually and
as members of Jefferson Airplane and HOT TUNA. The two began
performing together in the late fifties, though the name
of the band that would propel them to their greatest fame
was to remain unnamed for almost a decade. The band's long
time commitment to making consistently innovative music
true to its rock and blues roots has made HOT TUNA a truly
legendary force in contemporary music. Their performance
is always a real show-stopper and we look forward to welcoming
them back to IMAC.
Tickets for this performance are $40.00
($30.00 for IMAC Members). For tickets or further information
on this performance, or on other IMAC programs, call IMAC's
24-hour Arts-Line at (631) 549-ARTS. Tickets can also be
purchased at the theater from noon to 6PM, Tuesday through
Friday, 2PM to 6PM on Saturdays and after 2PM on the day
of the performances. For further information, call IMAC's
business office at (631) 549-9666.
