On
Thursday, June 21st at 7pm, the Inter-Media Art Center in
Huntington, Long Island will host an evening of short films/
videos.
The
Long Island Film Festival presents �Summer Shorts� at IMAC.
The Long Island Film Festival, celebrating its 18th
year will be presenting nearly a dozen short films of all
genres. On the
list to be screened this year are: Steven Taub�s documentary
on the therapeutic benefits of laughter �Laugh A Day�,
featuring comics Richard Belzer, David Brenner, and Robert
Klein; Jill Chamberlain�s �Living On Borrowed Time�- a
comic short about a struggling filmmaker�s efforts to
finance her films through credit card manipulations; Andrew
Friedman�s �The Guardians of the Book�- a comic look
into the dangerous lives of Simon and George�two best
friends, two library security guards, two men on a mission;
James McCabe�s �The Paper Girl�
and another
half dozen films/ videos including Scott Saunder�s
experimental film �Welcome to WillieWorld�.

Tickets for
this performance are $7.00 general public ($5.50 for IMAC
Members) and can be obtained by calling IMAC's 24-hour
Arts-Line at (631) 549-ARTS. Tickets can also be purchased
at the theater from noon to 6PM, Tuesdays to Fridays, and
after 2PM on the day of the show. For further information
