On Friday, October 18th at 9PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (IMAC) in Huntington, Long Island will present EILEEN IVERS- the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today.

Seven Time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion, THE EILEEN IVERS BAND, Riverdance, The Chieftains, founding member of Cherish the Ladies, Paula Cole, Patty Smith, Hall and Oates, Boston Pops, Atlantic Symphony, London Symphony, Sony Classical Recording Artist …this is a short list of accomplishments, headliners, tours and affiliations. Fiddler Eileen Ivers has established herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today.

Eileen Ivers has been touring her band of world class musicians to sell-out performances everywhere. These engagements range from performing arts centers to festivals and symphonic appearances. The band is performing her unique new groove oriented genre of Latin and African rhythms driving Celtic melodies. The evening of music, song and dance is receiving accolades from audiences of all ages and rave reviews from local and national press throughout
the country.

Born in an Irish community of the Bronx, Eileen Ivers began playing fiddle at the age of eight. Eileen won seven fiddle titles, an eighth on the tenor banjo and over 30 additional medals establishing her as the most awarded competitor ever in the All-Ireland Championships. She graduated with honors from Iona College and continued on to post-graduate work in the field of Mathematics. IMAC is thrilled to welcome such a gifted artist as Eileen Ivers to our stage.
