On
Friday, October 18th at 9PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (IMAC)
in Huntington, Long Island will present EILEEN IVERS- the
pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today.
Seven Time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion, THE EILEEN IVERS BAND,

this is a short list of accomplishments, headliners,
tours and affiliations. Fiddler Eileen Ivers has established
herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in
the world today.
Eileen
Ivers has been touring her band of world class musicians to
sell-out performances everywhere. These engagements range from
performing arts centers to festivals and symphonic appearances.
The band is performing her unique new groove oriented genre
of Latin and African rhythms driving Celtic melodies. The evening
of music, song and dance is receiving accolades from audiences
of all ages and rave reviews from local and national press throughout
the country.
Born
in an Irish community of the Bronx, Eileen Ivers began playing
fiddle at the age of eight. Eileen won seven fiddle titles,
an eighth on the tenor banjo and over 30 additional medals establishing
her as the most awarded competitor ever in the All-Ireland Championships.
She graduated with honors from Iona College and continued on
to post-graduate work in the field of Mathematics. IMAC is thrilled
to welcome such a gifted artist as Eileen Ivers to our stage.
