DATE: SATURDAY, June 12th, 2004 at 8PM & 10:30PM
On Saturday, June 12th, 2004 at 8PM &
10:30PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (also known as “IMAC”)
in Huntington, Long Island will present a concert with guitarist
LARRY CARLTON.
Guitarist LARRY CARLTON may be best known
for the time he spent as a member of both Steely Dan (Rolling
Stone lists Carlton’s work on Kid Charlemagne as one
of the three best guitar licks in rock music history) and
the Crusaders, with whom he recorded 13 albums. Or he may
be best known for his two Grammy winning works - the theme
to Hill Street Blues and his 1987 release, Minute by Minute.
But then again he may be best known as the quintessential
session man for the contribution of his unmistakable sound
to over 100 gold albums by artists like Joni Mitchell, Joan
Baez, Sammy Davis, Jr., Jerry Garcia, Michael Jackson and
more than 70 others. Or it may be his producing, arranging,
film scores or television work that is most familiar. Or
his 19 solo albums, his seven Grammy nominations or his
stints on numerous “Best …” lists. But
whatever facet of this brilliant artist’s work that
has caught your attention in the past, seeing him live is
where he shines the brightest!
Tickets for this performance are $37.50
($28.50 for IMAC Members). For tickets or further information
