Rock Shots Biography
Lou Margiore works as a clinical social worker by day, but for over 25 years he has spent his nights reviewing and photographing concerts. With his Nikons D-70 and N-70 in hand Lou has traveled the country especially New York, where he resides, in search of musicians in concert. His portfolio of artists is formidable. From The Rolling Stones at The Gator Bowl in 1975 to Giant Stadium in 2003, Eric Clapton in 1972 at MSG to Shea Stadium in 2001 to photos of musicians that are sadly “too soon gone” - Ray Charles, Jim Morrison, Willie Dixon, Jerry Garcia, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughn.

In addition to working as psychotherapist and photographer, Lou writes concert reviews that have appeared in Good Times Magazine, The Inside Connection, Relix Magazine, The Improper Hamptonian, and Long Island Entertainment. Lou is a first generation Italian-American whose father, that played trumpet in a Big Band, instilled a love and appreciation of music into his son. Lou was born in Queens, NY, was raised in Bellmore, and now currently lives in Suffolk County happily with his Calico cat, Tallulah. Lou is also the proud father of 26-year old triplets.
