On Friday, October 24th, 2008 at 8PM, the Inter-Media Art Center (also known as “IMAC”) in Huntington, Long Island will present an evening with The Second City comedy troupe as they present their current comedy and political satire show “DeFace The Nation”.
DeFace The Nation is Second City’s all-political revue with customized comedy for the election year. Featuring scenes and songs that poke fun at both political parties and a variety of pundits- Second City proves there’s no shortage of comedy coming out of Washington DC in this or any year. From Bush to Clinton to Obama to the other Clinton, DeFace The Nation is a hilarious romp through the Beltway and beyond.
Hilarious, spontaneous, topical and insightful- The Second City is the most famous brand in live comedy. Performing a blend of classic scenes from their nearly fifty year archive, material ripped from the days headlines and their trademark improvisation, a night with The Second City is a laugh filled, once in a lifetime event. Alumni of the famed comedy theatre include such recent performers as Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, and Steve Carell- as well as Mike Meyers, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Martin Short, John Candy, Chris Farley, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Robert Klein, Alan Arkin and more.
