SATURDAY, June 16th at 8:00 and 10:30PM, the Inter-Media Art
Center in Huntington, Long Island will host a concert with
jazz bassist STANLEY CLARKE.
Composer,
arranger, producer, bandleader and scorer of films, Stanley
Clarke is one of the most
celebrated bass players in the world. In nearly twenty-five years in the business, Clarke has
received virtually every honor that can be bestowed a
musician, including a Grammy Award, seven Grammy nominations,
three Emmy nominations, Playboy�s Jazz Bassist of the Year
for 10 consecutive
years and Guitar Player�s Gallery of the Greats.
Clarke
has a reputation for applying his talents to a diverse range
of projects and incorporating an
unexpected versatility to the instrument that brought him to
prominence. He
has the resume to
prove it, too, having played jazz with Stan Getz, Herbie
Hancock; jazz fusion with Chick Corea and
the Return To Forever bands; rock �n� roll with Jeff Beck,
Stewart Copeland and The New Barbarians; and three crossover
R&B/ pop projects with George Duke.
IMAC is honored to welcome such
a distinguished artist back to our stage.

this performance are $30.00 general public ($22.50 for IMAC
Members) and can be obtained by calling IMAC's 24-hour

at the theater from noon to 6PM, Tuesdays to Fridays, and
