On
Saturday, June 7th, 2003 at 8PM & 10:30PM, the Inter-Media
Art Center (IMAC) in Huntington, Long Island will present
a rock concert with JEFFERSON STARSHIP. The band features
Starship founders Paul Kantner and Marty Balin on guitars
and vocals, Diana Mangano on vocals, Prairie Prince on drums,
Slick Aguilar on guitar and vocals, and Chris Smith on keyboards.
Jefferson
Starship is still going strong after 38 years of touring.
They were one of the seminal bands to emerge from the musical
‘fertile crescent’ of San Francisco in the early
‘60’s, and features a stellar cast of original
and new players. In 1970, Jefferson Starship took over where
it’s predecessor, Jefferson Airplane left off, forging
some of the most influential music of the era. Their music
celebrates a gentler era of peace, love and rock-n-roll that
still runs deep through the counter-culture’s psyche.
For this tour Jefferson Starship will perform selections from
the classic music of Jefferson Airplane.
Tickets
for this performance are $35.00 ($26.50 for IMAC Members).
